Quality Assurance Inspector — Plastics & Medical Assemblies

The mission
Ensure in‑process product meets specifications by conducting thorough visual, dimensional, and functional inspections tied to documented procedures and the Control Plan.
How you’ll succeed
- Apply metrology techniques with calipers, micrometers, and vision systems to validate dimensions.
- Document inspection outcomes with precision and enter statistical data via computer systems.
- Use QA lab gaging daily; detect nonconformities on molded and assembled components.
- Adhere to Control Plan requirements; demonstrate dependable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Follow sample retention protocols.
- Generate labels for daily production retains/tailgates at shift start.
- Immediately escalate nonconformances to the Supervisor/Lead and execute rejection procedures.
- Keep quality areas and equipment clean, neat, and organized.
- Direct rework activities for product on hold and, when directed, perform final inspections on reworked items.
- Collaborate across teams and operate independently; take on other duties as assigned.
Experience and knowledge
- 1–3 years of Quality Control experience; 1+ year in plastic injection molding preferred.
- English literacy (reading, writing, speaking).
- Proficient with precision measuring devices; capable of blueprint interpretation.
- Comfortable with MS Word and Excel; familiar with SPC methods.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 frameworks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
Preferred proficiencies
- Quality inspection and Quality Control experience
- Troubleshooting and following Manufacturing Instructions (MI)
- FDA regulations, SOPs, pharmaceuticals environment awareness
- Quality control data analysis
