Investment Operations Analyst

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in investment management operations or related financial services. Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in investment operations.
• Technical Expertise: Direct experience working with bank loans and derivatives.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated time management, analytical, and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Risk Management: Proven ability to identify, articulate, and mitigate operational risks while making sound business decisions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to propose solutions to various levels of staff.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Software Proficiency: Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, Wall Street Office (WSO), and SS&C Recon.
• Technical Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with MS Access and Power BI.
• Industry Versatility: Experience in mid- and back-office roles such as trade support, performance, portfolio operations, or client administration.
• Adaptability: Ability to stay focused on core tasks while navigating a changing or evolving work environment.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Reconciliation & Reporting: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly separate account reconciliations between internal accounting systems, trading platforms, and custodians.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Thoroughly research financial discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner to maintain data integrity.
• Stakeholder Escalation: Lead escalation efforts with custodians and external parties to resolve complex discrepancies and address the root causes of recurring issues.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and implement opportunities to reduce operational risk and increase efficiencies across core portfolio accounting functions, including daily cash support and complex derivatives.
• Project Support: Act as a key member of project teams supporting the deployment of new investment products and services.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate operational workflows to identify and implement process enhancements and automation.
