Python Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer with a strong background in financial services or asset management to support critical development initiatives. This role requires a highly independent contributor who can solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Rate Range- $50-60/hr on W2
- Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python
- Work on financial or investment management-related systems and data workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and production challenges
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards
- Support database interactions and data processing tasks
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience with Python development
- Strong problem-solving skills (will be evaluated during interviews)
- Experience working in financial services or asset management environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of software development best practices
- Strong communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Exposure to React or front-end technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience building or supporting investment management systems
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-impact environments
