- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or actions in accordance with site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, checkpoints, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
- Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access credentials, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support government facility operations by remaining prepared to respond to disturbances, policy violations, and/or emergency situations while following Allied Universal standards and post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
