- FullTime | Competitive Pay Up to $65/hr (based on experience)
- Available Hours: MondayFriday, 7:15 AM 2:30 PM
- Student Levels: Charter School/Prek8
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students across all grade levels at a public elementary, middle, and/or high school. This role focuses on developing individualized learning plans, monitoring and assessing student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to support both academic and social growth. This position is at a charter school, serving 3rd-5th grade students, and requires 2-3 years of experience working with urban youth. WHAT YOU NEED:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
- Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
- Master's Degree and certification SEI endorsement
- Experience in inclusion or Special needs classrooms
- Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
- Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
- Classroom experience MondayFriday, structured setting
- Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
