IT Director - Techno-Functional ERP Leader (Oracle Fusion Financials & Projects)

Role Summary
Oracle Application Labs (OAL) is seeking a hands-on ERP leader with deep Oracle Fusion Financials and Projects (PPM) expertise to drive complex, high-impact enterprise solutions. This role blends strong functional depth , execution leadership , and AI/ML-informed design thinking to modernize and scale Oracle's internal ERP landscape.
This position replaces a highly respected architect and requires someone who is technically credible, functionally grounded, and trusted under pressure - a leader who brings clarity to complexity without relying on title or ceremony.
What You Will Do
ERP Solution Leadership
-
Lead end-to-end solution design and delivery across Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management including integration with GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, PO, HCM.

Deep understanding of Oracle Project Billing, Costing, Resource Management, Execution Management, Capital Projects.

Translate complex business and accounting requirements into scalable, supportable ERP solutions

Own cross-module dependencies, data flows, and functional integrity across Finance and Projects
Hands-On Techno-Functional Execution

Operate comfortably across:
-
business process discussions
-
functional design
-
system behavior and data models
-
Partner with engineering, integration, and platform teams to ensure designs are implementable and production-ready

Step in hands-on where needed during critical design decisions, go-lives, and production issues
AI / ML-Informed Design (Strong Differentiator)

Identify pragmatic opportunities to apply AI/ML and advanced analytics within ERP workflows, such as:

financial variance and anomaly detection

project performance risk signaling
-
intelligent reconciliation and exception management
-
Collaborate with AI/ML and platform teams to ensure intelligent features are enterprise-grade, explainable, and scalable
-
Evaluate tradeoffs, feasibility, and ROI - avoiding hype while driving real value
Enterprise Delivery & Go-Live Accountability

Act as a senior, trusted voice during design reviews, readiness checkpoints, and executive forums
-
Provide clear, decision-grade status on risk, mitigation, and go-live readiness

Ensure solutions meet audit, compliance, security, and performance standards

Support post-go-live stabilization with a root-cause and systems-thinking mindset
What You Bring
Required Experience

10+ years of ERP experience with strong depth in Oracle Fusion

Proven expertise in Fusion Financials and Projects (PPM)

Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, complex ERP programs

Strong understanding of:

Responsibilities
As a member of the IT organization, lead the design, development, modification, debugging, and evaluation programs for extremely complex internal systems. Provide expertise to analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new internal systems. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.

Own end-to-end solution leadership for Oracle Fusion Projects (PPM) , including project costing, billing, capital projects, and financial controls across complex enterprise programs.

Translate project and finance requirements into clear, scalable solutions , balancing functional accuracy, system behavior, and long-term operability.

Drive delivery clarity and go-live readiness for high-visibility project initiatives by providing decision-grade risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and execution guidance.

Apply AI/ML-informed design to improve project performance insights, risk detection, forecasting accuracy, and exception management within project workflows.

Act as a trusted techno-functional leader across Finance, Project Accounting, Engineering, and Platform teams-stepping in hands-on during critical design decisions and production issues.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $45.53 to $95.91 per hour; from: $94,700 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
