General Responsibilities
- Teach an academic course load of 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) of college-level International Maritime Business courses in accounting, finance and/or business data analytics, and offer upper-level business electives. The department’s curriculum may be viewed on the website of Massachusetts Maritime Academy:
- Engage in curriculum development and improvement.
- Participate in various academic committees in support of the Department and the Academy.
- Participate in International Maritime Business Department Experiential Learning Programs.
- Participate in Open Houses and departmental enrollment initiatives.
- Serve as an academic advisor to assigned student advisees.
- Serve as a co-op advisor to assigned student advisees.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business, Management or related field.
- Demonstrated experience of teaching and research.
- Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Business Data Analytics, Business Management, Maritime Management or a related field.
- Ideal candidate will be a scholar with interdisciplinary interests and excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the growth of the International Maritime Business department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree in Business, Management or related field strongly preferred.
Salary
$78,000-$85,000 annually. The Academy offers generous benefits and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Academic rank of the successful candidate will be commensurate with academic background and experience.
