Public Accounting Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced Public Accounting Tax Manager to oversee complex tax engagements and provide strategic guidance to clients across various industries. In this leadership role, you’ll supervise junior staff, drive client-focused tax planning initiatives, and manage high-level compliance reviews. This position is ideal for a CPA professional looking to grow within a collaborative and technically advanced public accounting environment.
Work Arrangement & Compensation:
- Schedule: Hybrid model – 3 days in-office per week, with Wednesdays required
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Compensation: $150,000+ base salary plus 10% performance-based bonus

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare a variety of federal and state tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990
- Lead tax engagements and supervise the work of junior and mid-level staff
- Provide advisory services on tax-saving opportunities and business structuring
- Stay current on federal and state tax laws and integrate updates into client strategies
- Support audit processes and manage direct client communication with a focus on proactive service
- Foster team growth through mentorship and knowledge-sharing
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in a public accounting environment
- Demonstrated experience managing tax engagements and reviewing complex returns
- Proven track record in team leadership and staff development
- Active CPA license or in the process of obtaining certification
Required Skills:
- Tax return preparation and review (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990)
- Team leadership and mentoring in a tax engagement setting
- Strategic client communication and tax advisory
