What you will do
Our global Fire Detection product group located in Westford, MA, offers you the opportunity to interact with other development centers and teams around the world! Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to be located at the R&D facility in Westford, MA. In this role, you will facilitate the transfer of information on new products and changes to existing products between engineering to manufacturing. This will support our Panels, Detectors and notifications appliances for the Fire Detection business at Johnson Controls. Our fire detection products are installed in buildings you visit every day!

How you will do it
Manage the transfer of information between the engineering team and the factory
Work between Manufacturing, Engineering and customer expectations on product changes and new product introductions
Track and ensure proper implementation of all NPI and changes – close the loop.
Partner with manufacturing and engineering to find solutions to minimize issues in NPI and product changes.
Work with senior leadership to set manufacturing priorities and costs associated with for NPI and changes

What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience integrating products into manufacturing
Expertise in a Product Lifecycle management tool and Manufacturing Material Resource Planning tool or Enterprise Resource Planning Tool
Ability to plan and estimate small projects
Able to travel (<10%)
Preferred
Experience in ICT or FCT development
Project Management
Experience working directly with contract manufacturers, especially for PCBAs
Experience working directly with Fabrication houses (metal, plastic, etc..)
Experience in managing Engineer Change Notices / Factory Change Notices
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $91,000 - $114,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
