Who We’re Looking For:
This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who enjoys collaboration, values high-quality care and education, and is ready to take the next step into administration and leadership. We’re seeking someone who is dependable, organized, flexible, proactive, and passionate about supporting both children and staff.

Qualifications:

• Director I/II Certification preferred (or working toward it)
• Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Degree or relevant ECE coursework/leadership experience
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities:

• Assist Director with daily operations, communication, and admin tasks
• Build positive relationships with families, staff, and the community
• Support staffing — hiring, onboarding, scheduling, ratios, breaks, and coaching
• Help teachers with curriculum, observations, training, and classroom coverage
• Work flexibly between office duties and classroom support while managing time effectively
• Maintain licensing, compliance records, and center policies
• Communicate with parents regarding children’s progress and needs
• Help plan and support school events, including after-hours.
• Promote a positive, collaborative school culture
• Perform additional duties as needed to support center operations

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Safari Kid is an EOC employer and welcomes all qualified candidates to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,760.00 - $52,000.00 per year
