Accountant

We’re looking for an Accountant to join ZEDRA! You will work in liaison with Account Managers to deliver a full range of services regarding the daily operations of our clients in accounting and tax matters.

Key Accountabilities

Client Relationships

• Under the supervision of an Account Manager, manage daily interactions with Clients: phone, emails
• Answer questions in a timely manner
• Manage clients’ requests according to priorities and time available

Accounting

• Oversee the setup of operational functions and maintain accounting policies in conformity with clients’ procedures
• Book accounts payable and receivable
• Supervise bank, cash situation, and general ledger reconciliation
• Book month-end closing entries
• Maintain internal controls
• Serve as a liaison to external auditors

Reporting & Tax

• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
• Ensure that transactions are properly supported and classified in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Review and or provide necessary information for corporate tax returns prepared externally

Human Resource Management

• Supervise payroll processing and review quarterly and annual returns prepared by the payroll company selected by the client

Internal Management

• Assist Account Manager documenting and updating procedures for each client of portfolio
• Enter personal time in time tracking and billing system

Knowledge and Experience

• Extended knowledge of financial accounting
• Customer oriented
• Able to multitask and switch tasks according to client’s priorities
• Able to work in a multicultural environment
• Excellent communication skills (oral & writing)
• High degree of confidentiality
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a service-oriented environment
• CPA qualification preferred
• Sage 50 and clients internal online software (QuickBooks, Navision, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
• Outlook
• OpenAir
• Microsoft Excel & Word
• Fluency in French highly desirable
