Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Athol, Massachusetts 01331 (North Quabbin region)
• Job Title: Case Management Registered Nurse (RN)
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1970–$2020
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics (medical/surgical, short-term rehab)
• Charting Systems: Omnicell, Meditech Expanse
• Scrubs: Any color

RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent case management experience
• Proficiency with charting and documentation systems
• Strong skills in care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
• Knowledge of InterQual Criteria, Milliman Guidelines, CMS, DRG, ICD-10, CPT coding
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Case Management RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care from admission through discharge
• Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews to ensure medical necessity and regulatory compliance
• Utilize InterQual and Milliman guidelines for admission and continued stay reviews
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Lead discharge planning and facilitate transitions of care
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to CMS and hospital standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives and core measure compliance
