Distribution Coordinator (Wellesley)

Our client is seeking a hands-on Distribution Coordinator/Planner with 6+ years of supply chain experience and 4+ years in logistics and distribution, ideally within a fast-paced CPG, beverage, or food environment. This role is execution-focused, managing end-to-end product movement through 3PL portals from sales order to final delivery to customer distribution centers. The ideal candidate thrives in a lean, high-growth, fast-changing environment with heavy volume variability and strong communication across internal teams, customers, and international production (including South Africa). Responsibilities include managing purchase and sales order alignment, maintaining delivery schedules, tracking freight and inventory visibility, resolving 3PL and shipment escalations, auditing freight invoices, and ensuring accuracy in logistics documentation and cost control. Strong Excel and ERP experience is required for tracking, reporting, and coordination.

Job Description/ Duties:

• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, customer locations, and 3PL partners to align distribution activities with business objectives.
• Coordinate end-to-end order flow from sales order creation through delivery execution to customer distribution centers.
• Manage daily communication with stakeholders to ensure accurate alignment of inventory levels, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipment activity, transportation schedules, and freight movement to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for 3PL, transportation, and outbound logistics issues.
• Oversee coordination with trucking carriers to manage pickups, deliveries, and timely product movement.
• Audit freight invoices, investigate discrepancies, and ensure alignment with cost controls and budget compliance.
• Maintain and update ERP and 3PL portal systems with accurate order, shipment, and delivery information.
• Support inventory visibility by tracking inbound and outbound product flow and forecasting short-term inventory positions.
• Analyze supply chain and distribution performance data to identify inefficiencies and support process improvements.
• Provide high-touch customer service by resolving order, delivery, and logistics inquiries quickly and effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as the business scales and supply chain complexity increases.
