Precision Metrology Quality Inspector (GD&T Expert)
Be the precision guardian on the production floor
This is a direct-hire role from day one. Step into our second-shift team and own the dimensional accuracy that keeps operations running right the first time.
A day in the life
You’ll kick off your shift at 2:15pm, preparing inspection setups and selecting the right instruments for the job. Throughout the evening, you’ll independently apply testing and measurement procedures, verify part dimensions, and document your findings with care. When a part trends out of tolerance, you’ll advise your supervisor and halt operations if needed to protect quality.
What you’ll do
- Read and use measuring tools: rules, squares, circumference tapes, vernier, calipers, diameter gauges, radius gauges, pressure gauges.
- Apply testing and measuring procedures without supervision.
- Check part dimensions and create inspection reports as needed.
- Notify supervision to stop operations when parts are outside tolerance/specification.
- Inspect and report defects in incoming material, tools, dies, and castings; perform required inspection functions.
- Build inspection setups, gauges, and fixtures when needed.
- Maintain inspection records as required.
What you bring
- Previous quality inspection experience.
- Hands-on experience using verniers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T.
Certifications that are a plus
- Certified Welding Inspector
- Level II Penetrant Certification
- Level II Eddy Current Certification
- Level II Ultrasonic Testing Certifications
- MA Hoisting License 1C/3A
- OSHA Fork Truck Evaluation Certificate
Schedule & pay
Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, 2:15pm–10:15pm. Pay up to $33.59, based on experience.
