Process Development Engineering Scientific Associate (Contract)

Job Description

The key responsibilities that the candidate will focus on are as follows:

1. Perform routine stem cell isolation processes using automated cell processing systems.
2. Support execution of lab-based Process Development activities and experiments.
3. Prepare media and buffers in a sterile aseptic environment.
4. Generate samples for analytical assays and coordinate with the Analytical team for timely analysis.
5. Maintain detailed and organized electronic lab notebooks to document activities.
6. Write reports summarizing procedures, experiments, and data.
7. Present experiment design, data, and updates internally to the team.
8. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
9. Communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences with 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in aseptic techniques, cell handling, cell culturing, media and buffer preparation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with scientific software like JMP, GraphPad Prism is a bonus.
• Ability to proactively communicate, stay organized, and maintain accurate records.
• Basic experience in statistical analysis, creating graphs, writing protocols and reports, and presenting scientific data.

Preferences:

• Experience with HSC isolation and culture.
• Experience with Prodigy, Rotea, Electroporation, Cytiva Sefia.
• Experience in data analysis with JMP.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Pay Range: $30/hr - $33/hr

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, weekend work required
