General Manager – Xico Lighting
Woburn, MA – Full Time

Build a High-Performance Team and Culture:
- Lead all major Xico functions: operations, engineering, design, customer support, inside sales, supply chain, and production.
- Establish a culture of clarity, accountability, urgency, and high craftsmanship.
- Mentor and sharpen managers; upgrade talent; strengthen cross-functional alignment.
- Create an environment where people take ownership and follow through.
Drive Operational Excellence:
- Own the performance of the Woburn manufacturing facility—output, quality, cost, delivery.
- Implement disciplined work order flows, structured production planning, inventory accuracy, and clean documentation.
- Drive lean practices and continuous improvement with a “build it right the first time” mindset.
- Ensure engineering releases are complete, correct, and production-ready.
Strengthen Engineering & Quality:
- Build robust engineering workflows and documentation that tie seamlessly into production.
- Ensure a true single source of truth across SolidWorks PDM, Salesforce, and all internal systems.
- Lead CAPA, root-cause analysis, and quality engineering to prevent repeat issues.
- Align engineering, quality, and production around predictable, reliable output.
Elevate Customer Experience & Commercial Support:
- Oversee quotations, customer support, and project coordination teams to ensure fast, accurate, professional communication.
- Improve responsiveness and project management discipline to build trust with agents, specifiers, and contractors.
- Strengthen planning and documentation to ensure predictable and profitable project execution.
- Support sales with margin discipline, product configuration accuracy, and improved delivery performance.
Leverage Channel Knowledge to Win Architectural Projects:
You understand how architectural products get onto projects. Even if not lighting, you know the dynamics of:
- Specification-driven industries.
- Architectural product reps and agent networks.
- How architects, lighting designers, engineers, and contractors influence product selection.
- Long project timelines, submittals, revisions, budgets, and value engineering.
- What it takes to get a product designed in, specified, protected, delivered, and installed successfully.
You will use this knowledge to:
- Improve our performance in the channel
- Strengthen relationships with agents and specifiers
- Build workflows that support complex project cycles
- Ensure the factory supports the commercial team with reliability and clarity
- Create competitive advantage through execution excellence
Drive Growth, Innovation & Strategic Alignment:
- Translate CEO and group-level strategy into actionable plans the team can execute.
- Leverage synergies with Fusion Optix (optics/light engines) and LUXDrive (drivers & control) to deepen differentiation.
- Build systems and processes that scale with growth.
- Manage P&L performance with discipline across revenue, margins, and operating efficiency.

Qualifications:
- 10–20+ years of experience in lighting, architecture-related products, building technologies, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
- Deep familiarity with how architectural products are designed, specified, and sold.
- Proven success leading multi-functional teams across operations, engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to scale systems, improve processes, and transform organizations.
- Experience with Salesforce, ERP/MRP systems, and CAD/PDM-driven engineering workflows.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people development skills.
- Passion for building an organization and taking a business to the next level.
