Senior Accountant - Reinsurance POST NUMBER: 473353
We’re seeking an experienced Reinsurance Accountant to support complex accounting and reporting activities across multiple operations within a collaborative, team?oriented environment. This role partners closely with internal teams and leadership to ensure accurate reinsurance administration, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement across multiple statutory and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Oversee reinsurance accounting activities, including treaty administration and transaction processing
- Prepare and support reinsurance reporting across US GAAP, NAIC, and Bermuda Statutory bases
- Analyze reinsurance transactions and ensure accurate recording and settlement
- Support internal and external reporting requirements, audits, and reconciliations
- Partner with cross?functional teams to improve workflows, documentation, and controls
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and operational efficiencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6 years of progressive experience in reinsurance accounting or insurance?related accounting
- Strong understanding of reinsurance structures, treaties, and accounting principles
- Experience working across multiple accounting frameworks (US GAAP, statutory reporting)
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced, team?based environment
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with insurance or reinsurance systems preferred
