Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 3x12-hour shifts
Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires flexibility to float between units as needed.

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, and social needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation
• Monitor patients on telemetry and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Serve as a charge nurse and provide leadership support as needed
• Act as a resource for staff, including training and orientation
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control, and hospital policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
• Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems effectively
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
