Disassembly/Reassembly Technician
About Us
APC Auto Body is a growing collision repair shop focused on quality repairs, efficiency, and doing things the right way . We’re looking for a skilled, detail-oriented R&I Technician to join our team and play a key role in the repair process.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble vehicles safely and efficiently using proper tools and techniques
- Inspect components during teardown to identify damage and additional repair needs
- Reassemble vehicles to OEM specifications with precision and attention to detail
- Work closely with estimators, technicians, and painters to keep jobs moving
- Assist with identifying one-time-use parts and required replacements
- Maintain an organized workspace and properly track parts and hardware
- Document damage and repairs to support supplements and quality control
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background (automotive experience required)
- Experience with disassembly/reassembly in a collision or service environment preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive equipment
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems and components
- High attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Ability to lift and handle heavy parts safely
- Collision repair experience (R&I role)
- Familiarity with OEM repair procedures
- Experience working alongside estimators or identifying supplements
- I-CAR training or willingness to obtain
