Accounting Manager
Location: Stoughton, MA (Fully On-Site – no flexibility)
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all core accounting functions. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
This is a fully on-site position in Stoughton, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, payroll accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, commissions, and cost accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, along with detailed analyses
- Perform advanced financial analysis to assess current and projected financial performance; present insights and recommendations to leadership
- Develop and distribute financial reporting to support cross-functional teams
- Lead, manage, and develop accounting staff, including hiring, performance management, and long-term team planning
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ensure payroll accuracy and reconciliation with external payroll reporting
- Support annual audits and other financial reviews, including preparation of required documentation and schedules
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial transactions and reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations and implement process improvements and redundancies where needed
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements
- Review financial records to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibility
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and payroll software
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to partner across departments
