Accounting Manager

Location: Stoughton, MA (Fully On-Site – no flexibility)

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all core accounting functions. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.

This is a fully on-site position in Stoughton, MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, payroll accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, commissions, and cost accounting
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, along with detailed analyses
• Perform advanced financial analysis to assess current and projected financial performance; present insights and recommendations to leadership
• Develop and distribute financial reporting to support cross-functional teams
• Lead, manage, and develop accounting staff, including hiring, performance management, and long-term team planning
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Ensure payroll accuracy and reconciliation with external payroll reporting
• Support annual audits and other financial reviews, including preparation of required documentation and schedules
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial transactions and reporting
• Oversee daily accounting operations and implement process improvements and redundancies where needed
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements
• Review financial records to ensure accuracy and adherence to established standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibility
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and payroll software
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to partner across departments
