CMM Programmer

Job Description

• Create and optimize coordinate measuring machine (CMM) routines using Calypso software to support production and quality assurance needs.

• Use CMM technology to verify dimensions and tolerances of intricate components.

• Review engineering documentation to ensure manufactured parts align with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

• Carry out inspections at various stages of production, including initial, in-process, and final checks, to confirm adherence to quality benchmarks.

• Record and communicate inspection outcomes, highlighting any deviations or non-conformances.

• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot quality concerns and drive corrective measures.

• Oversee the upkeep and calibration of CMM equipment to maintain measurement accuracy.

• Guide and assist team members in understanding CMM operations and interpreting GD&T standards.

Contribute to ongoing efforts aimed at refining inspection processes and elevating overall product quality

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years experience in CMM programming and operation, specifically with Calypso software.

Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in quality inspection
