Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse – Behavioral Health
Location: Worcester, MA
Shift: 40 hrs/week (Day shift – mix of 8s & 10s)
Start Date: 05/04/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- 1+ year LPN/LVN experience (recent preferred)
- Willing to float across CHL locations (35-mile radius)
- Must be comfortable with community behavioral health setting
- Must be open to possible patient transport (personal vehicle may be required)
Certifications:
- BLS (Required)
- MA State LPN License (Required)
Skills:
- Behavioral health nursing (anxiety, bipolar, depression, psychosis, schizophrenia spectrum, substance use, trauma-related disorders)
- Medication administration (IM, SQ, oral)
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Seclusion & physical hold protocols
- Psychoeducation & patient teaching
- Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
- EMR documentation
- Quality & safety compliance
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care using nursing process from admission to discharge
- Perform assessments and reassessments per standards
- Administer medications and treatments per policy
- Assist with procedures and special tests as directed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on care plans and discharge planning
- Document all care, education, and interventions in EMR
- Provide patient/family education and support
- Ensure safe, ethical, and compliant nursing practice
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Maintain professional standards and boundaries
