Boston Nursing Job Details

• Location: Boston, MA 02115 – Premier destination for Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel RN contract)
• Unit: Main PACU – Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit
• Duration: 13 weeks (8/24/2025 – 11/23/2025)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 4x10-hour days (08:00–18:30) or 5x8-hour days (12:00–22:30); weekday shifts with rotating start times (8AM, 9AM, 10AM, 11AM, 12PM)
• On-Call: None
• Weekend/Holiday: No weekend or holiday rotation required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,430 per week
• Charting: EPIC electronic medical record system
• Scrub Color: Any solid color (OR-provided)
• Parking: Discounted off-site parking with shuttle service; free night shift parking

Pediatric PACU RN Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (permanent license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PACU or PICU settings
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to provide two professional references from two of the last three healthcare employers (different facilities)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Pediatric PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in the PACU
• Monitor and manage post-anesthesia recovery for pediatric patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Participate in rotating weekday shifts with varying start times
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
