Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Embark on a transformative journey as an Occupational Therapist in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where your expertise will illuminate lives by fostering independence, safety, and meaningful participation in daily activities. In this travel-ready role, you’ll empower patients across diverse settings, guiding them through personalized therapeutic plans and helping families navigate rehabilitation with compassion and clarity. As you make a measurable impact on individuals’ functional lives, you’ll also enjoy the beauty and vitality of Massachusetts—from the rolling hills and vibrant fall foliage of the Berkshires to the rich cultural offerings in nearby towns. Beginning March 2, 2026, you can join a program that offers 36 guaranteed hours per week and competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,661 to $1,699, with a contract designed for multiple weeks and clear extension opportunities to continue your professional journey. Location Benefits
Pittsfield sits in the heart of the Berkshire region, a gateway to outdoor adventures and a thriving cultural scene. Here you’ll have the chance to practice in a community that values collaborative care and innovative rehabilitation, while enjoying access to hiking trails, scenic drives, farmers’ markets, and a calendar of regional arts and performances. The Berkshires offer a unique blend of small-city warmth with expansive natural beauty, making after-work explorations both relaxing and inspiring. This opportunity also provides the flexibility to explore other locations across the U.S. as part of a broader travel program, enabling you to broaden your clinical exposure, adapt to varied patient populations, and discover new communities while continuing to grow as an orthopedic and generalOT specialist. The combination of steady clinical opportunities in Pittsfield and the potential for extended assignments across sites contributes to a well-rounded, rewarding travel career. Role Specifics and Benefits
In this role, you’ll perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and implement interventions designed to improve self-care, mobility, cognition, sensory processing, and community participation. You’ll monitor progress, adjust treatment goals as needed, and collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and nursing teams to deliver holistic care. Responsibilities include documenting assessments and progress in patient records, educating patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and adaptive equipment, and participating in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to home or community settings. You’ll have opportunities to specialize within OT across clinical areas, deepen your expertise in areas such as mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics, or hand therapy, and pursue ongoing professional development with support from your employer. This position comes with competitive benefits designed to recognize your expertise and dedication:
- A welcome or sign-on bonus to acknowledge your commitment and help with the transition.
- Housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary lodging while you’re on assignment.
- Extension opportunities to continue your impact beyond the initial contract, with pathways for longer-term placements as openings arise.
- Flexible scheduling within a framework that maximizes patient care while supporting work-life balance.
- Comprehensive support services, including 24/7 assistance for traveling clinicians, dedicated travel coordinators, licensure assistance, and continuing education allowances to keep you at the forefront of practice. You’ll also benefit from a robust clinical support network, including access to mentorship, peer collaboration, and timely credentialing guidance to ensure smooth onboarding and uninterrupted clinical practice. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, ethical practice, and a culture that values your clinical judgment, evidence-based approaches, and ongoing curiosity. Company Values
Our organization is committed to empowering its staff, prioritizing career advancement, and cultivating a supportive work environment where clinicians feel respected and heard. We invest in your professional growth through structured mentorship, opportunities to pursue specialty certifications, and internal advancement tracks within the broader travel program. You’ll join a culture that emphasizes teamwork, open communication, patient advocacy, and a shared passion for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services across diverse populations. The company’s values are reflected in every interaction—from patient care to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—creating a workplace where your contributions matter and your professional development is a central focus.
