Tax Accountant (Public Accounting)
Our client, a growing and forward-thinking public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Prepare individual income tax returns
- Support tax planning initiatives for both business and individual clients
- Provide bookkeeping support as needed
- Assist with resolving federal and state tax notices
- Conduct tax research and contribute to special projects
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (BSBA or equivalent)
- CPA candidate preferred; advanced degree is a plus
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience
- Strong ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
- Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and ProSystem fx Tax
