Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Per Diem | Overnight Shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Worcester, MA

The Knollwood Nursing Center at The Briarwood Community is hiring a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our nursing team on the overnight shift. This role offers flexible scheduling while maintaining consistent coverage expectations.

Schedule Requirements:

• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Must pick up at least one weekend shift per month
• Must work one major holiday per quarter

Position Summary

The CNA provides quality basic care by assisting residents with daily living activities under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. This role supports resident comfort, safety, and well-being while helping maintain a clean and supportive unit environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse, as directed.
• Monitor and document resident conditions, including food intake and output.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including ambulation, repositioning, bathing, and hygiene.
• Support meal and hydration needs, including delivery of food and beverages.
• Provide adjunct care such as applying ice packs or assisting with comfort measures.
• Remind residents to take medications and nutritional supplements as directed by nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and care team members regarding resident status.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts.
