We are seeking a highly motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 3 years of public accounting experience . Leadership experience is a strong plus, as this role may involve supervision and mentoring of a small team .

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns

• Perform financial statement preparation, general ledger reviews, and account reconciliations

• Conduct tax research and provide well-documented, practical tax planning recommendations

• Maintain client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor

• Assist with IRS and state agency audits, notices, and compliance matters

• Support and manage junior staff (if applicable), reviewing work for accuracy and providing coaching

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of engagements in accordance with firm and industry standards

• Stay up to date with tax law changes and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in public accounting

• Strong understanding of tax law and financial reporting standards

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively

• Proven experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., UltraTax, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)

• Leadership or small team management experience is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Ability to explain complex financial information in plain terms to clients

• Enthusiasm for mentoring and team development

• Familiarity with high-net-worth individuals, S-corp planning, and multi-state tax issues

• Comfort with remote collaboration and cloud-based tools
