Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This travel opportunity requires expertise in general ultrasound imaging, providing services across two prominent hospitals. The position involves scanning a variety of exams with advanced equipment and collaboration with specialized radiology teams.
Location: Cambridge, MA area (split between two hospital sites)
Schedule/Hours:
- Sunday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (Hospital A)
- Monday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (Hospital B)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (Hospital B)
- Saturday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (Hospital A)
Responsibilities:
- Perform head and neck ultrasound exams following detailed protocols, including opportunities to assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and operating room guidance.
- Conduct routine general ultrasound exams, including transplanted liver, transplanted kidney, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) exams on upper and lower extremities.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
- Utilize Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s ultrasound equipment effectively.
- Pediatric ultrasound experience is a plus.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Certified and experienced in general ultrasound imaging.
- Comfortable working with head and neck exams as well as general abdominal and vascular studies.
- Ability to perform ultrasound-guided procedures or eagerness to gain experience in this area.
- Familiarity with advanced ultrasound equipment from Philips and GE.
- Experience in pediatric ultrasound is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work alongside radiology teams.
