We're looking for an energetic, curious and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of integrated marketing programs across a diverse portfolio of clients. This is an ideal role for someone with early marketing experience, including internships, who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute from day one.

Preference for local candidates to work out of our Wakefield, MA office 3 days/week.

Here's what you'll do:

Support Integrated Marketing Campaigns

  • Assist in building and executing strategic marketing plans for association and technology clients.
  • Coordinate project workflows across marketing, design, events, and client services teams.
  • Contribute to social, digital, and content initiatives that support each client's strategic goals.
  • Use AI tools appropriately to support research, drafting, content ideation, and workflow efficiency, following Virtual's guidelines for responsible use.

Create & Manage Content

  • Draft and stage email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Emma, MailChimp, or Constant Contact.
  • Create graphics and layouts in Canva for social media, newsletters, web content, and email.
  • Conduct smart, efficient research-including leveraging AI tools-to support the creation of infographics, website copy, media profiles, and campaign collateral.

Support Social Media & Digital Programs

  • Assist in the creation, scheduling, and reporting of social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Pull and analyze performance data from Google Analytics, social platforms, and email tools (training provided).
  • Help maintain and segment email lists to ensure accurate and effective campaign delivery.

Operations & Events

  • Coordinate with designers and creative vendors on asset development and delivery.
  • Provide onsite support for client events and special projects (domestic and occasional international travel).
  • Help streamline internal processes and workflows, including identifying opportunities to use AI for efficiency.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or related field.
  • Some prior marketing experience-internship, co-op, part-time role, or agency experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of marketing concepts, campaign workflows, and digital channels.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn marketing tools and platforms.
  • Comfort using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar) to support research, drafting, content development, and operational efficiency.

Preferred, but not required

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Emma, Constant Contact, etc.) and social management tools.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • Exposure to agency environments or association/non-profit organizations.
  • WordPress or basic website content management experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML, or project management software is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work in a hybrid or remote team environment, with 3 days in the Wakefield, MA office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically, up to 10%, primarily domestically, with potential for occasional international travel
  • Ability to meet client requirements regarding vaccination or travel protocols.

The target hiring range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 USD (annually). The starting base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors.
