We have a number of openings for postdoctoral fellowships in Dr. Suter’s Pulmonary Optical Imaging Laboratory at the Massachusetts General Hospital within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with a Harvard Medical School appointment at the postdoctoral rank. The successful candidate(s) will work within a highly collaborative research environment focused on the development and use of optical diagnostics for studying the lungs. The positions will involve the use and development of novel optical imaging systems including polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography. Candidates will additionally be required to conduct preclinical and clinical studies. A strong background in biomedical optics is desired.

Requirements: A doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline is required. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas is desired: biomedical optics, laser optical physics, instrumentation, optical imaging, or programming in C++, Matlab, or ImageJ. Applicants should be self-motivated, dedicated, creative and capable of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
