Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow \u2013 all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible. \n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern software engineering best practices.\n\n\n\n\n * Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement new platform features.\n\n\n\n\n * Write clean, maintainable, and well\u2011tested code with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.\n\n\n\n\n * Assist in debugging, diagnosing, and resolving production issues with guidance from senior team members.\n\n\n\n\n * Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts across the engineering team.\n\n\n\n\n * Learn and apply enterprise engineering patterns, cloud\u2011native design principles, and platform architecture concepts.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * 1-2 years of professional software development experience.\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field\n\n * US Citizenship is REQUIRED. \n\n * Ability to commute to the Boston Seaport office 2-3 days a week. \n\n\n\n\n * Strong fundamentals in Java programming and object\u2011oriented design principles.\n\n\n\n\n * Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure\n\n\n\n\n * Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).\n\n\n\n\n * Solid problem\u2011solving, debugging, and analytical skills.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred (Nice to Have)\n\n * Experience with the Java Spring Framework\n\n\n\n\n * Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.\n\n\n\n\n * Understanding RESTful API design, , and distributed systems concepts.\n\n\n\n\nPTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. \nActual compensation may vary based on a candidate\u0027s skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
