Clinical Research Coordinator - Population Sciences
Overview
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Division of Population Sciences is currently seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to work on cancer research projects focusing on adult patient populations. The Clinical Research Coordinator’s efforts will primarily focus on maintaining regulatory documents, enrolling and tracking study participants, administering surveys to study participants, performing medical record abstractions, and tracking all study documentation.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, the Clinical Research Coordinator I may be
responsible for some or all of the following:
Screen, contact, recruit, and enroll research participants.
Collect and enter research data.
Administer surveys and conduct interviews with research participants.
Maintain databases, with an emphasis on accurate data entry, and project documentation.
Assist with documentation for and communication with the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Maintain the security and confidentiality of all study materials and data.
Conduct focused medical record abstractions for patients enrolled in studies.
Conduct relevant literature searches and reviews as requested.
Assist the team in coordinating project-related activities.
Perform other project-related or administrative responsibilities as requested
by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Excellent interpersonal skills. Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn new tasks.
Strong computer skills, including prior use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to relate effectively in person and over the telephone with diverse groups of patients, community members, physicians, nurses, and researchers.
Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in public health, natural sciences, or social sciences preferred, but not required.
Prior experience in public health or patient services strongly preferred, but not required.
The ideal candidate will have interest or experience in the following areas:
Cancer care and oncology
Social and behavioral research
Patient-reported outcomes
Patient clinician communication
Public health
Medical record abstraction and data collection

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work will be conducted primarily in the office and clinic
M-F, 40 hours per week
Position is funded full-time for at least one year.

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
