Contracts Assistant
- Draft, review, and finalize a variety of commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters, master services agreements, and statements of work.
- Manage contract workflows from intake through execution and archiving using internal tracking systems.
- Maintain, update, and report on contract data and metrics.
- Track contract status and proactively communicate updates to legal and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as Finance and HR, to support firm-wide initiatives and compliance.
- Conduct legal research and generate compliance materials.
- Assist in the development of templates and internal policies, and contribute to process optimization projects.
- Support the legal team in scheduling, preparing documents for, and coordinating legal meetings and training sessions.
- Participate in strategic legal initiatives that impact L.E.K.’s business operations, governance, and risk profile.
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited institution with a record of academic excellence.
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience; prior experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or professional services firm is preferred.
- Strong interest in pursuing a legal career; ideal for candidates planning to apply to law school.
- Demonstrates intellectual agility, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly and professionally.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive, independent, and eager to contribute to both tactical and strategic workstreams.
- Comfortable using technology platforms, including AI, and willing to learn new systems and tools.
