Job Overview

IDEAL Shower Doors is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Workshop Technician to support our Logistics & Operations team. This full-time, onsite role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and ensuring the behind-the-scenes operations run smoothly. You'll play a key part in preparing materials for our installation crews, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and contributing to successful job execution.

Visit us at Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and running efficiently
  • Cut and label parts accurately for upcoming job site installations
  • Apply surface protection coatings to glass products
  • Receive, inspect, and stage incoming glass deliveries from the factory
  • Use a tape measure and glass inspection techniques to identify correct orientation (inside vs. outside face)
  • Prep materials and ensure all items are properly labeled for each project
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of company trucks and equipment
  • Support installation teams by ensuring tools, parts, and materials are readily available
  • Assist with miscellaneous shop tasks and operational support as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hands-on, warehouse, or workshop role (general construction industry preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping workspaces organized
  • Ability to use a tape measure with accuracy and confidence
  • Familiarity with basic tools and safe handling of glass is a plus
  • Physically capable of lifting glass panels and materials safely
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
