Our Point of Care Business is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join their Labeling and Documentation team, and you will be responsible for:
- Creating, editing, and processing customer-facing documentation such as manuals, instructions for use, etc.
- Ensure technical accuracy, legibility, and compliance to quality and branding standards by:
- Understanding the technology and applications for which documentation is to be prepared
- Collecting information from subject matter experts (Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing)
- Gathering and analyzing the information needs of the user
- Assisting in laying out material for publication
- Work with translation service providers and printers
- Understanding of User Experience Design standards, including CLIA, and how they are incorporated into the writing of documentation.
- Coordinate labeling changes within manufacturing site on behalf of Labeling Group
- Work with Document Control and Quality Assurance Specialists to prepare Change Control packages
- Maintain consistency within a system of documentation
- Proofread and edit technical documents for accuracy, content and formatting
Required skills to have for the success of this role
- Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of experience working on IVD Medical Device product manuals, guides, Instructions for Use, and other customer facing product labeling documentation.
- Strong knowledge of modern desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, MS Word)
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and editing using correct English grammar and syntax
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Work on shifting priorities and able to prioritize workload
- Ability to cover a broad range of technical topics to meet strict deadlines, working independently and collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts

The base pay range for this position is:
$95,590 - $131,439Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
