Position Title: Travel Cardiology Diagnostic Technician

Location: Hyannis, MA 02601

Job Type: Contract

Shift: Nights (3×12-hour shifts)

Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Travel Pay Range: $38–$40/hr

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is hiring a Travel Cardiology Diagnostic Technician to provide overnight support for cardiac diagnostics and specimen collection. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality EKGs, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and phlebotomy while ensuring accurate documentation, patient safety, and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and clinical specimens with proper patient identification and safe handling.

• Perform non-invasive cardiac tests including EKGs, Holter monitors, and exercise stress tests.

• Educate patients on procedures and ensure complete, accurate documentation.

• Process test orders, billing details, and maintain entries in hospital systems.

• Communicate order updates, testing delays, and technical issues promptly.

• Adhere to PPE requirements and all hospital safety protocols.

• Assist nursing units with specimen collection as needed.

• Support orientation and training for new staff or students.

• Participate in quality improvement and QA data collection efforts.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

• Deliver service excellence aligned with organizational standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Grade S8 / Job Code 7053

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Completion of a Medical Terminology course or equivalent exam.

• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

• BLS certification required.

• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

• Eligibility for PBT (ASCP) certification.

Grade S8A / Job Code 7054

• All S8 qualifications, plus:

  • Certification in EKG or Phlebotomy.

Grade S9 / Job Code 7133

• All S8 qualifications, plus:

  • Certification in both EKG and Phlebotomy.
