About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Treasury operations and transformation initiatives within a major insurance accounting program. This role will focus on bank reconciliations, cash management, and Treasury systems integration , while also playing a key role as a Super User in the APEX project.

The SME will validate Treasury process design, participate in testing, and support end-user readiness as the organization transitions from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA. The role also includes oversight of reconciliations between systems, validation of FX measurement/translation, and ensuring Treasury processes align with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Treasury operations , with a focus on bank reconciliations, cash, and suspense account reconciliations .

• Validate and oversee Treasury process design for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP/statutory requirements.

• Act as an APEX Treasury Super User , participating in system testing, validation, and process design reviews.

• Support the migration from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA , with emphasis on Treasury data flow, reconciliations, and integration.

• Validate and test foreign exchange (FX) measurement and translation processes .

• Partner with Treasury, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure system design supports reporting and operational needs.

• Support change management, training, and readiness activities for Treasury end-users.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within Treasury accounting and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, Treasury, or finance operations, with a focus on cash management and reconciliations .

• Insurance industry experience required ; life insurance experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Treasury processes, bank reconciliations, and FX measurement/translation .

• Hands-on experience with SAP FICO and exposure to Treasury modules highly preferred.

• Prior involvement in SAP R/3 or ECC to S/4HANA migration projects required .

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to validate process design, support testing, and ensure system adoption.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Treasury, Finance, and Technology teams.
