As integral members of our school team, Culture and Academic Support Fellows play a unique role in supporting learning environments, school-wide systems, and student growth. Their integrated academic and culture-based supports are instrumental in providing consistent daily support across classrooms and community spaces, with a strong emphasis on flexibility and school-wide coverage. The Senior Culture Fellow plays a leadership role on this team.
Key Responsibilities for all Fellows, including Senior Culture Fellow
- Learn and support the systems and routines in all classrooms to ensure smooth transitions and consistent expectations across the school.
- Provide coverage for breakfast, lunch, recess, and dismissal, implementing structured dismissal protocols and routines to ensure a smooth transition.
- Provide academic support through small group instruction, intervention, or targeted assistance during the school day.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and leadership to maintain school-wide consistency, support transitions, and uphold community expectations.
- Engage in professional development and community-building activities up to one day per week.
Senior Culture Fellow Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as the school's lead coverage point-person, including providing classroom and specialist coverage as needed.
- Co-develop and implement a consistent Flex Time agenda, working closely with instructional and culture leaders.
- Serve as an official member of the Culture Team and contribute to leadership and planning efforts alongside staff.
Qualifications
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident alien
- Agree to state & federal background checks

Location
Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School, 6 Shirley St., Roxbury, MA, 02119.
Hours
Position hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm (admin on duty days will be later if necessary). On occasion, DPC members serve in the evenings to support or lead school initiatives and events, or to attend community events outside of regular hours. The fellowship year runs from August 18, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
