JOB OVERVIEW
Kaia is a modern Aegean and Greek restaurant located in Boston, focused on refined hospitality, seasonal ingredients, and creative technique-driven cooking.While our foundation is rooted in Greek and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, our kitchen also draws influence from French, Italian, Asian, and modern fine dining techniques. Our menu combines traditional flavors with contemporary execution, utilizing methods such as dry aging, Japanese charcoal, espuma/foam work, ISI applications, fermentation, fresh bread, sous vide, and whole animal and fish fabrication.
We are currently looking for passionate and motivated line cooks who want to grow within a professional and supportive kitchen environment.This is not a toxic kitchen. We believe serious food can be created through teamwork, respect, consistency, and strong leadership. We are building a team of cooks who are curious, hardworking, and excited to learn modern techniques while maintaining high standards during service.This position is ideal for cooks looking to gain experience in a creative chef-driven restaurant while developing strong fundamentals and refined execution.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Modern Aegean Greek cuisine
- Fine dining plating and service execution
- Open fire and Japanese charcoal cooking
- Dry aging techniques

- Seafood and whole fish fabrication
- Seasonal menu development and R&D
- Sauce work and refined prep systems
- Professional organization and kitchen discipline
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute high-quality food during service with consistency and attention to detail
- Complete prep tasks efficiently and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of station and kitchen
- Follow recipes, systems, and chef direction
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during prep and service
- Contribute to a positive and respectful kitchen culture
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years kitchen experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food, hospitality, and personal growth
- Positive attitude and professionalism
- Interest in modern technique-driven cooking is a plus
