Sage Connections is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and provide services within the school setting for the upcoming ’26–’27 school year in a full-time role.

We’re looking for a compassionate and collaborative Special Education Teacher to provide direct instruction and individualized support for students with diverse needs. Whether you're experienced in the field or transitioning into a new district, we’re here to help you succeed. There are multiple positions/caseloads available!

Position Details

  • Caseload Type: Multiple available - Resource Room, Life Skills, Autism Classroom
  • Age Range: K-12 options available
  • Start & End Date: August 2026 - June 2027
  • Onsite Positions

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Participate and lead IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families

Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in special education or related field
  • Certification as a Special Education teacher
  • Knowledge in the area of developmental disabilities
  • Familiar with special education assessment tools
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and development
  • Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and MCAS alternative assessments
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the provision of Special Education and the Special Education process
