Location: Apex Entertainment - Virginia Beach
Employment Type: Part-Time Hourly

Apex Entertainment is looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Event Servers to join our hospitality team! As an Event Server, you will help create memorable experiences for guests attending private events, banquets, corporate functions, celebrations, and special occasions.

What You'll DoEvent Setup & Guest Service

• Attend pre-event meetings to review event details, timelines, menus, and service expectations.
• Set up banquet tables, dining areas, buffets, and event spaces according to event specifications.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Provide attentive service throughout events to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Answer guest questions and assist with requests while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional hospitality from start to finish.

Event Support & Teamwork

• Work closely with event managers, banquet staff, servers, and culinary team members to ensure successful events.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, cleaning, stocking, and resetting event spaces.
• Support food and beverage service areas, including buffets and beverage stations.
• Assist with organizing gifts, guest belongings, and event materials when needed.
• Help prepare attractions and activity areas for events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Guest Experience

• Create memorable experiences by providing friendly, professional, and attentive service.
• Maintain a positive relationship with guests through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thank guests for choosing Apex Entertainment and help encourage repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience as an Event Server, Banquet Server, Catering Server, Restaurant Server, Food & Beverage Attendant, or Hospitality Team Member preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, including trays, dish racks, glass racks, and event supplies.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work efficiently in event spaces with guests present.
• Comfortable operating basic food and beverage equipment, including coffee machines, ice machines, and dishwashers.
