A highly regarded and sophisticated Northeast law firm is seeking an Associate or Counsel with at least five years of commercial real estate and leasing experience to join its expanding real estate practice in Boston, New York, Hartford, New Haven, or Stamford .

The Practice
Attorneys in this group handle a wide range of sophisticated transactional matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial leases
- Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties
- Commercial real estate development and financing transactions
- Franchise and distribution-related real estate matters
- Negotiation of franchise agreements, renewals, and transfers
- Asset acquisitions and related corporate transactional matters
- Advising developers, investors, franchisees, and operating businesses on strategic real estate matters
This role offers substantial client contact, meaningful transactional responsibility, and the opportunity to work on complex and varied matters across industries.
Ideal Candidates
The firm is seeking attorneys who possess:
- At least five years of commercial real estate and leasing experience
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial leases
- Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development matters
- Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients
- Experience representing franchisees or handling franchise/distribution matters is strongly preferred
- Experience at a sophisticated law firm or comparable practice environment preferred
Candidates must be admitted in the jurisdiction of intended practice.

Base salary compensation for this position will vary by office location, relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors. The target base pay range for this role is $185,000-$275,000.
