Outreach Coordinator — Veterans
Location: Boston , MA, 02114
Schedule: Full-time (Hybrid eligible up to 2 days/week, subject to approval)
Travel: Required travel across Massachusetts, including Springfield and Western MA areas (2+ days per week)
Contract Duration: 5+ months (Possible extension and conversion)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator to support the Veterans Network by planning and executing outreach initiatives, building relationships with community partners, and supporting programs and events that serve women veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate outreach activities, workshops, informational fairs, and community events
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and organizations serving women veterans
- Support events, including conferences, recognition ceremonies, and outreach programs
- Respond to inquiries from women veterans and connect them with available resources and services
- Maintain member data and update records in internal systems
- Update website, newsletters, and social media with program and event information
- Research programs, resources, and services available to women veterans
- Coordinate outreach logistics and event participation
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel frequently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of veterans’ programs, services, and benefits
- Familiarity with issues impacting women veterans
- Experience in outreach, community engagement, or program coordination
