Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Location: Fall River, MA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday availability as needed

Compensation: Target flat-rate range $50-$60/hr for a strong technician; lower ranges considered for developing C-level/GS technicians

About the Opportunity

AutoShop Recruiting is partnered with a family-owned independent repair shop in Fall River, MA, to hire an Automotive Technician / Mechanic. This shop has a strong reputation for European and high-end vehicle repair while also servicing domestic and Asian vehicles.

This is a growth role tied to a shop expansion across the street. The current shop will continue handling diagnostics, engine work, and more difficult repairs, while the new location is designed for faster-turn work such as oil changes, tires, brakes, and repairs around four hours or less.

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on European, domestic, and Asian vehicles
• Handle drivability, electrical, ADAS, alignment, brake, tire, suspension, and general mechanical work
• Use a structured diagnostic process to find and fix vehicle concerns correctly
• Complete flat-rate work efficiently while protecting quality
• Document findings and recommendations clearly in Shopmonkey
• Work with service advisors and ownership to keep vehicles moving through the shop
• Balance diagnostic/problem-car work with productive repair work
• Contribute to a tight, family-style team culture

What We're Looking For

• Automotive technician, mechanic, diagnostic technician, or A-level/B-level technician experience
• European vehicle experience is strongly preferred, especially Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Land Rover, or similar brands
• Diagnostic ability across electrical, drivability, engine performance, and mechanical systems
• Comfort with alignments, ADAS-related work, tires, brakes, suspension, and general repair
• Flat-rate experience preferred
• ASE certifications, factory European training, diesel, hybrid, or advanced diagnostic training are a plus
• Team-first attitude and ability to fit into a direct, high-accountability shop culture
• Valid driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

• Target flat-rate range of $50-$60/hr for a strong technician
• Developing C-level/GS technicians may be considered around $25-$35/hr depending on skill
• Weekly pay

• Monday-Friday schedule with occasional Saturday availability as needed
