Technical Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Architect for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate must have strong production‑grade Snowflake experience to design secure, scalable data solutions and orchestrate ELT workflows.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Architect Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and productionize scalable data pipelines and data products using Snowflake’s advanced features, including Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and secure data sharing.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations, including performance tuning, clustering strategy, and micro‑partitioning best practices.
• Implement and enforce data modeling standards (3NF, Star, Snowflake) and govern data through RBAC, masking policies, tags, and data quality checks.
• Orchestrate ELT/ETL workflows using tools such as Airflow, ADF, or Glue, ensuring reliable scheduling, dependency handling, and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Architects, and Analytics Engineers to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and cost‑efficient analytics solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Snowflake environments for performance, cost management, and resilience, including DR and storage integrations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with significant hands‑on experience in Snowflake and modern data engineering practices.
• Deep, production‑grade expertise in Snowflake, including SQL, ELT/ETL orchestration, performance tuning, governance, and advanced Snowflake features (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, RBAC).
• Strong competency in DevOps and data engineering tooling, including version control/CI‑CD, orchestration frameworks, and cloud platform integration (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Pay Details: $53.00 to $80.00 per hour
