Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure

Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.****Description****As a member of the Verily Test Infrastructure team, you will build robust, reliable, and reusable infrastructure that powers test automation across all Verily products.Our work plays a critical role in accelerating the software development lifecycle by enabling teams to release high-quality products with greater velocity. We design and maintain scalable test platforms that are foundational to engineering productivity, supporting teams in delivering innovative solutions with confidence and consistency.****Responsibilities***** Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and automated testing frameworks that power continuous integration and high-quality software delivery across Verily. Leverage LLMs to assist in test generation, code analysis, and test coverage optimization.* Tackle technical design challenges by evaluating trade-offs and proposing scalable solutions.* Partner with Area Tech Leads and cross-functional teams to promote adoption of test infrastructure, including AI/LLM-based tooling for test code suggestions, and proactively identify and resolve technical challenges.* Collaborate with product engineering teams to embed robust test automation into the development lifecycle and influence release quality.* Define and champion best practices for AI enhanced test automation and standardize testing guidelines across the Verily engineering organization.****Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications* BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience), with a strong passion for building test frameworks and infrastructure that drive high product quality.* 5+ years of professional experience developing reliable, scalable, and secure production systems, including 3+ years focused on building test infrastructure for cloud-based applications.* Strong programming skills and deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design in at least one general-purpose language such as Go, Java, or C++.* Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure also valuable).Preferred Qualifications* Experience with cloud deployment technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or related tools.* Experience with microservices, software delivery platforms, DevOps, continuous integration, and release management processes.* Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into test infrastructure—such as using LLMs for automated test case generation, intelligent debugging, or enhancing test coverage analysis.* Mobile test infrastructure experience is a plus* Experience with Performance Testing tools like Jmeter, K6, gatling, locust is a plusQualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,000 - $210,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
