responsibilities:
DESCRIPTION: ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Systems Engineer on the Regional Strike Programs, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software and systems solutions. This Systems Engineer role may focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Test & Integration Engineering: hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing
- Requirements Engineering: documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): system modeling, simulations, and design analysis
- Hardware-Systems Engineering: design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
- Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
- Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and other
- AI-Assisted Engineering - Ability to leverage generative AI tools to accelerate systems engineering tasks such as requirements analysis, test documentation, design trade studies, and report summarization
- AI Fluency - Comfort working with enterprise AI platforms and multiple AI models, including understanding when and how to apply AI effectively while following established guardrails for handling CUI and proprietary data
- Continuous AI Learning - Willingness to stay current with evolving AI capabilities and adopt new AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering productivity and quality
qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
