About the Role

Join a mission-driven community health center serving a diverse patient population in New Bedford, MA. As a Pediatric RN, you'll be a critical member of a care team delivering high-quality primary and preventive services — with a schedule designed for real work/life balance.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 4 days/week | 10-hour shifts (7:30am–6:00pm)
• Saturday rotation: Once every 4–5 weeks (8:00am–12:00pm)
• No nights. Every Sunday off.

What You'll Do

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced community health setting
• Conduct nursing assessments, triage patient calls, and determine urgency of care
• Administer immunizations and order/manage vaccine inventory
• Perform diagnostic tests: EKGs, Holter Monitors, hearing/vision screenings, CLIA-waived testing
• Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR); prepare and process test results
• Collaborate with providers on short and long-term patient care plans
• Involve patients and families in care planning and deliver individual/group health education
• Assist with procedures and process medication refills
• Support orientation of new nurses and provide guidance to medical assistants
• Initiate referrals and connect patients with internal and external resources
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in community health and/or triage nursing preferred
• CPR/AED certified
