After School Staff
This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our school community and may serve as a pathway to future full-time teaching opportunities as they become available.
Position Summary The After School Program Staff member helps create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where PK-6th grade students can learn, play, and grow after the school day ends. Staff supervise children in teams of two, lead engaging activities, and encourage positive social interactions while supporting each child's academic, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and enjoys working with young children, and collaborates effectively with a co-worker in a team-oriented after-school program. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all timesPlan and lead, with your co-worker, age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
Assist with snack time, transitions, attendance, and daily routines.
Foster positive behavior, social skills, and conflict-resolution strategies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program environment.
Communicate effectively with families, coworkers, and school staff.
Follow all program policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, camp, or after-school setting preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to engage positively with children and create a supportive learning environment.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Schedule
Hours: 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday-Friday on full school days.
Start Date: August 31, 2026 Compensation
Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
