- Job Title: Locum Tenens Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool
- Location: Boston, MA 02215
- Facility: 600-bed teaching hospital
- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Locum Tenens
- Unit: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Float Pool across 15 units)
- Duration: 15 weeks (holiday coverage required)
- Hours: 36 per week (guaranteed)
- Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/eves/nights), mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays required
- Start Date: September 29, 2025
- End Date: December 27, 2025
- Orientation: Weekly, every Monday (except holidays)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,470 - $2,540
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- At least 3 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Level I trauma hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital and specialty area experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Basic computer skills and ability to use web-based healthcare applications
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Must not have worked at Beth Israel Lahey Health within the past six months
- Float between 15 medical-surgical units, supporting specialties such as neurology, cardiac, bariatric, oncology, and transplant
- Deliver high-quality patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
- Perform unit-specific procedures: 12-lead EKGs, lasix gtt, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
- Administer nebulizers (ventilators managed by respiratory therapy)
- Adapt quickly to varying assignments and float pool needs
- Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend coverage
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
